Why G4 exists.....

K9 is a place unlike any other that I’ve found. You’ll find guys of every age and level across the learning spectrum, and its a welcoming space for everyone. It’s a sense of community, friendship and camaraderie that is united by our common desire to learn and grow in Torah and Avodas Hashem. I feel grateful and blessed to be a part of it and hope to see the community grow and flourish.

K9 has been a haven for me the past year and has been especially helpful for me having a place to hang out and be with friends throughout a difficult time in my life. I’m sure I’m not alone in appreciating k9 and I’ll bet everyone is able to use the space to gain something else that is especially helpful for them.

Moving to Jlem was a big move for us and "K9" (The holy chevra) gave me a place that felt like home. Being a part of siyumim, kiddushim, shiurim, mishmar, shalom zochors, a pidyan haben made me realize how special this holy place is.

I remember the first time I came to K9. It was for a shalom zachor and it was the most brotherhood I had felt since my fraternity but done in a kedusha filled way. My only regret is that I didn't start going there to learn until a year and a half after that experience. The Torah learning starts on time, the guys are serious, and serious in a way where no one is out to prove anything to anyone nor is there any feeling of competition. There is only an energy and a feeling of achdut, joy, and a thirst for torah that infuses my whole day. For there to be a kavua place that I can learn with my friends, meet new ones, connect with Rebbes, that is close by that I can call home is something I mamash only dreamed of. Kavua torah learning at K9 feels to me like the bones that hold up the body, but the febrenging, the mishmar, the wives who are able to connect now, the davening, etc feel like the heart that keeps it going and brings passion to the place. I am forever grateful to everyone that makes it a reality. Toda raba me'od!

Jerusalem is full of magical places and experiences. Usually you need to go slightly out of your comfort zone to experience that magic. K9 is unique in that it is our chevra creating the magic. A place of special Torah learning and serious connection between friends of our own making. For us to have found our own place within Jerusalem is the highest form of magic.

K9 has opened up a whole new way for me to delve into amazing Torah depths, all within a warm inviting space, filled with amazing holy Yidden with the same mindset. K9 has BH allowed me to test my patience for learning in ways that I have not experienced in decades. The shiurim are so warm, friendly, and filled with amazing life lessons.

K9 has been a game changer. Daily Torah study while bonding with an amazing group of learned chevra is continuously providing a lifeline of Godly connection with a sense of community belonging, order, and purpose.

I look forward to learning at K9 every morning. While the diversity of thought is profound, everyone present has one goal in mind and that is to grow together. Aside from the learning which is a grounding force in my life, mishmar, farbengins and celebrating the chagim together propels me through life with joy. I have never seen a place like K9 anywhere.

I’ve lived in the Sharei chessed/Recahvia Area for over a decade. It’s a wonderful neighborhood but I didn’t feel like I lived in a COMMUNITY until I discovered Kahanov 9. The warm welcome and encouragement is immediate. I feel seen and appreciated for who I am, a Jew trying to live the right way. The foundation is Torah. Creating personal relationships with God is the pursuit. I attend classes there that have helped me come closer to myself and to God. Friday night prayer services have brought me to tears (in a good way). The environment of Kahanov 9 has been carefully created for seekers of “completely here”

I have never experienced a warmer place than K9 Kollel. Whether it's the warmth of the chevra, the warmth of the Torah, the warmth of Kabbalas Shabbos, or the warmth of the food, K9 always feels warm and welcoming, like a second home

When I made Aliyah, I knew few people in Yerushalayim where my family and I settled. K9 instantly provided me a makom torah, a place of gathering with other H’ seeking individuals, and an awesome group of friends that have brightened up my life and help make my settlement in the land much more enjoyable.
